Just wanted to say hello to anyone that might remember me from Stevenson. Even though I didn't go to Roosevelt, lots of my friends did so I wanted to pop in and say hello.

I can't believe it's going to be 40 years! I've lost touch with my friends from RHS even though I only live in Whittier. Irene Flores moved out of state last I heard. "Shorty" Esparza, where are you? I only attended two earlier reunions. Don't know if I want to admit my 40th is coming up. Maybe I'll pop in just to check it out. Kathy Kimura Jimenez: do you remember me? I, too, was saddened to hear about Cleveland and about Ben. Too young to be gone. Ernie, thanks for your efforts to have a place where we can make contacts and communicate with fellow alumni. Great job!!

Thank you Ernie for your assistance in reconnecting long time childhood friends from Breed Street and Roosevelt S'68 and S'67 alumni Richard Valdez and my husband Freddie Aguilar. Without your assistance this reunion would not have been possible. My husband Fred and Richard reminisced about their childhood days as well as their teen-aged years at Roosevelt, they both were interested in old alumni friends each have seen and not seen through years past. They have future plans meeting one another personally to celebrate their renewed friendship. TIDBIT of information to all alumni from early 1960 to early 1970: My Aunt Rosie Alvarado, cafeteria staff employee (photographed in the "1968 Round-Up"), sends her best to all class alumni and her coworkers, has fond memories of everyone, and is well and enjoying her retirement with her husband. This is too cool. I was just turned on to this website by my best friend, Yolanda Garza (Einstein)--she and I became friends in the fourth grade at Breed Street School. I never knew this existed. The only reunion I could ever make was the 10-year one. A team of wild horses couldn't keep me away from this one. My heart was so sad to see that Cleveland Gillis has passed; he was a very lovely person. I now live in Santa Maria, CA. We just love it here. I am so looking forward to seeing so many of you.
